This past weekend, we made history at the Toastmasters International District 74 Council meeting, as Botswana, eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia, and Zimbabwe voted for the new leadership for Southern African Toastmasters.
In the over 15 years that Toastmasters has been in existence in Zambia, we have never had a Division Director emanate from Zambia. As Zambia and Malawi merge, I want to say a heartfelt thank you for the invaluable support and guidance received in the run up to this election, from District 74 leadership, Toastmasters in Zambia,Zimbabwe and Malawi, friends, my mentors and cheerleaders.I am truly grateful and looking forward to continuing my journey, serving and championing the development of leadership and communication skills.
Because you have entrusted me with this role, I will do my best in serving both countries to the best of my abilities.
From Lusaka to Ndola, from Lilongwe to Blantyre and beyond I am looking forward to a year of Growth, Stability, Excellence and Collaboration in service of our members and the mission of District 74, to build new clubs and support all
clubs in achieving excellence.
